The Switch may be all they have to present and thus they trying to make a six year old port a grand event. I very much doubt that Blizzard intended on having the Main Event Stage, literally biggest announcement be a Nintendo Switch port.If all they have to show is a Switch port for a Diablo game that wasn even that well received by a majority of the Diablo fan base, they gonna have a bad time.
Edit: Let me be clear in saying that I do not think Diablo 4 will be mentioned in any way, shape or form at Blizzcon. My hope is that it is, but I believe Acti Blizz derailing the hype train made that out of the question. I firmly believe Diablo 3 Switch port is their main attraction. At this point I can only realistically hope for a D2 remaster.
He set it up weird, which is probably why it looks confusing. I think a more intuitive version is: E(x)=(1/3)3+(2/3)2=7/3, which is derived by looking at the 2 scenarios individually.Scenario 1: Having the legacy move set. In this case the expected value is 3 since there are 3 different options.Scenario 2: Not having the legacy move set. Here it 2 because of 2 options.
Since scenario 1 occurs 1/3 of the time and (thus) scenario occurs 2/3 of the time, we get the actual expected value by multiplying each scenario with the probability of said scenario occurring and add the two together. All this is going by my assumption that if D4 is announced, it would still be 1 year away or so. $60 for the out dated soon to be replaced last gen? No way in hell is that gonna work.
I see this a lot, and I don get it. The switch port would generate more sales exactly because of D4 being playable at Blizzcon. People would be excited for a new Diablo game, and those that preiously quit D3 might buy the switch version to hold them over until the potential new game releases. It rather common that people play through games in a franchise when a new installment is upcoming.Guys!2018 Christmas party is coming soon.
